1 1/2 cups water or if you want a more rich flavor but at least 80-100 more calories add plain almond milk, rice milk, coconut milk or hemp milk
1/2 cups packed baby spinach
1/2 cup fresh kale or collard
1 1/2 cups frozen berries. 1/2 a frozen banana
Other Optional Ingredients:
If you really want to go super green try also a dab of kelp and/or spirulina (can buy in bulk at the health food store)
Flax seeds for fiber and omega-3, stevia or agave or honey to sweeten, cinnamon (helps to maintain normal glucose/insulin levels), cocoa powder (high in antioxidants).
For extra protein can add a few almonds, pistachios, walnuts, or for a creamy effect add almond butter or keep it simple and add your favorite protein powder.
