Ok, it really drives me crazy when I see sugar being added to so many foods and even worse when it is added to already sweet items like dried fruit! I tried to buy dried blueberries today and every single one, packaged and bulk had added sugar!! It makes me crazy! Why do they do this? Are we so used to sweet things that the natural blueberry with all of its goodness is really not good enough? And then to make matters even worse, these companies go and lable these foods as super healthy- The innocent berry certainly starts out healthy, wonderful tasting, filled with life giving properties; vitamin C, anthocyanins, ellagic acid and many more flavinoids (big words all basically saying one common thing: super healthy) and then they go and add 1. sugar and 2. sometimes oil!!!! Anyways, I am ranting yes. But I just want people to be aware that things are not always as they appear to be. Please read labels and read ingredient list. Ok, I am done now. ….thanks for listening.
